Highlights in the November Edition

The five-day car project

University of Bath’s School of Management has run a research project called ‘The Five-Day Car project’, an EU wide initiative, which will see a car built to order in less than a week by 2015.
Through an interview with Dr Glenn Parry, a Senior Fellow at the University of Bath’s School of Management, we will examine the implications for inbound and outbound logistics if the BTO car becomes the norm. 

 

LSP - NYK

We will be look at NYK's strategy for its automotive business through an interview with NYK's recently appointed Sales Director, Steve Russell who, amongst other things, can explain why NYK is not prepared to risk compromising service levels to meet price aspirations, why the loss of the Jaguar Land Rover business is 'disappointing' but not 'devastating' and outline how NYK plans to continue to grow its automotive business, in line with NYK Group's objective to become a global logistics integrator.
